Preston Footballers Cricket Club was established in 1923 and is one of the oldest playing in the North Metro Cricket Association. Our playing ground is located at Blake Park Reserve adjacent to the Northland Homemaker Center. We field three senior teams which cater for all cricketing levels. Summer cricket season commences in early October and goes through to mid March with a few weeks interval for Christmas holidays. Training times are Thursday nights from 5pm onward. New players are always welcome.
Our club is a family oriented all-inclusive club and strongly advocates a policy of racial and religious tolerance comprising players from many different backgrounds. We are also affiliated with the Good Sports Program (Level 3 – fully accredited) as part of the club’s commitment to healthy values within the sporting community. We are always on the lookout for new exposure opportunities and part of this has included the running of an annual 20-20 challenge match with the Preston Police in the past. Over the last 3 years we have run a Past Players vs Current Players Match. This has proven a tremendous success in recent years and normally a big crowd on hand to watch festivities.
