It is with sadness that we announce the passing of former Secretary of the NMCA (formerly Jika CA) and President of Camrea CC, John Deighton on his 76th Birthday.
John was President of Camrea for 10 Years and Secretary of the NMCA for 7 Years.
John was also a Distinguished Life Service recipient of the Club (1 of only 4) such was his passion and dedication to the Camrea Cricket Club.
John was a passionate Jika CA person as well as lover of the Carlton FC and Melbourne Storm.
John’s health had declined over the past few years but his love for his club never waned.
We ask all players from all Clubs to wear black armbands this weekend in respect for a great servant of our Association.

The Celebration of Life for John Deighton will be held at the Chapel at Yan Yean Cemetery at 1pm on Monday 25th March.
Burial will take place directly after the service followed by food and refreshments down the road in Doreen.
