The Cameron Cricket Club was established in 1948, when a group of young men from Cameron St in Reservoir decided to form a team and join the then JIKA Cricket Association. Since its inception, Cameron CC has enjoyed on-field success in Senior Men’s and Juniors Cricket, and more recently has enjoyed success in the NMCA Women’s Cricket Competition. Moreover, the Cameron Cricket Club has many long standing members and players who have maintained an association with the club for several decades, because Cameron is not just a cricket club, it’s a family.

As an inclusive and family orientated club with a long and proud history of female involvement across all areas of club life – whether it be as committee members, scorers, Life Members or famed afternoon tea makers, the Cameron Cricket Club was delighted to add the Cameronettes as an option for further female involvement.

The Cameronettes have been an establishment at the Cameron Cricket Club since 2008, first forming as a social group who played an annual interclub T10 match, and then evolving into a committed, close knit and successful team within the NMCA Women’s Competition in 2015. The team continues today with a focus of friendship, enjoyment, support and mostly importantly, having fun whilst playing cricket!
