Northern Socials Cricket Club

Founded in 1942, the Northern Socials Cricket Club has been a home for community cricket in Preston for over 80 years. In that time, we have won 10 First XI Premierships and many more in other grades. We typically field three Senior Men’s teams and a Veterans (over 40’s) team, and for the first time, proudly introduced Senior Women’s cricket to our club in 2021/22. It is our ambition to rebuild our Junior program to its former glory in the coming seasons.

Located at WR Ruthven VC Reserve on the corner of Albert Street and Malpas Street, we are based in a premium location, easily accessible through the use of public transport and very close to the Northland Shopping Centre. Our modern facilities are newly built and include a large playground for children and outdoor gym equipment.

We are an inclusive club, with our membership consisting of players of different genders, disability and cultural background. We are particularly proud of having a strong relationship with the local Aboriginal community, who hold various roles at the club including on our executive committee, coaching, captaincy and as players and supporters.

We would like to warmly welcome anyone of any skill level to come to our club and have a go at playing cricket with us.
