WOMEN'S SKILLS MASTERCLASSES
The NMCA Women’s Skills Masterclass Program runs for several weeks each September. The sessions, held at an indoor centre, are facilitated by experienced players – our past coaches include Karen Rolton, Tammy Foster, Nat Schilov and Kristy Lamb.
The aim of the Masterclass Series is to:
- Provide a welcoming, friendly and supportive introduction to cricket
- Provide a friendly and supporting introduction to basic cricket skills – throwing, catching, holding a bat, batting, running between wickets, bowling
- Provide a more detailed skills basis for experienced players covering – different types of bowling, wicket keeping, different batting techniques and stances
- Create an environment where women and girls new to cricket can feel supported, safe and encouraged to participate and learn new skills
- Provide a well organised, smooth and fun session that allows players to get to know each other and increase personal confidence and team bonding
- Most importantly to have fun!
